Classic International Cruises
One of the corporate chefs, a graduated of Ecole Hôtelière de SAUMUR - LEP Saumur believes that one of the great pleasures of cruising is good food and fine wine. Whether you are dining in the elegant restaurant or having a buffet style breakfast or luncheon in more casual surroundings, we believe you will not be disappointed.
The light and airy restaurants let in the sunshine so you can enjoy being served a full English breakfast or a four course lunch, whilst in the evening, with the subtle changes of atmosphere, there is a stylish elegance. A beautiful setting to savour the culinary experience carefully prepared into delightful menus designed to appeal to the most discerning palates. From our Sail Away Dinner on your first night aboard to the final breakfast before you disembark, you will find a tempting array of delights awaiting your pleasure.
Certain shipboard traditions such as the Captain’s Gala Welcome and Farewell Dinners, elegant afternoon teas, and late night snacks that culminate once a cruise into a Buffet Magnifique are all scrupulously observed. A deck barbecue, whether served by the light of the Midnight Sun or sailing away in the balmy evening from a Greek island is yet another occasion for the chefs of the ships to display their skills.
Some specially selected fine wines from the ships’ wine list will complement your meal and of course, smiling, attentive service always adds to the pleasures of dining.
To do or not to do. That is the question
From the moment that you rise, there is something to do, or not if that is your preference. The Daily Programme prepared by your Cruise Manager and delivered to your cabin each evening, charts the day’s events.
Avoid the early morning aerobics, if you just want to take it easy and watch the world go by from a sun lounger. You may also opt to miss out on a craft class, an informative shore excursion lecture describing the ports of call or a challenging quiz, but it is your holiday and the choice is yours. One of the joys of cruising aboard smaller ships is the growing camaraderie that comes from being amongst a select number of guests, so it is quite probable that you may wish to spend some time with new found friends. Perhaps you will join for a drink before dinner to plan that day ashore together.
As the day draws to its close, the ships lights go up and the air is filled with the expectation of the evening ahead. After a day ashore or relaxing around the pool, it’s back to the comfort of your cabin for a refreshing shower, a change of clothes and the chance to dress up for a night out. A leisurely dinner with good food and good company is undoubtedly a highlight but now there are more choices; a cognac or liqueur coffee in one of the lounges, tonight’s floorshow – maybe it’s Moulin Rouge or Hello Sunshine! – perhaps a few hands of blackjack in the casino or take to the floor for that dance or two that you haven’t managed to have since, well…. your last cruise.
We Get a Kick Out of You
The ships’ resident bands and an entertainment company may get no kick from champagne, but they very definitely get a kick out of entertaining you. A great deal of care is taken in planning and producing original floorshows and cabarets to make each evening a truly special event. Talented artists take real pride in performing for you and, unlike on huge ships, where some performers are just remote figures that you view from the upper tier of a large theatre, you will get the chance to see and meet them around the ship. If you have a favourite tune or song that you would like to hear, just mention it and the chances are that the next night you will be able to enjoy your special moment.
With so many pleasures to while away the evening, perhaps the last sparkle of the night will be the twinkling stars that you see as you take a moonlight stroll around the deck before retiring.
